In fact, the guy who introduced me to FASA Trek materials , is also now a member here. He had the original FASA Star Trek Role playing game that included an earlier version of the STSSTCS game within it. It came with very small, square TOS starship counters and a large hex mapfield, with much smaller hexes. That is where I first learned to play ships like the Loknar. It was great fun.

My buddy bought the RPG after we had played STSTCS for several months. We both read the books, but we never got into it and never went beyond creating our characters.
Just wasn't as fun as blasting away at each other I guess. We were 15 after all.

Well, I think we've lost mustakashipyards, and I've not seen any reply from drock over on any of the STSTCS Yahoo groups.
Ah well, onward and upwards with new blood!

Had no idea STSCS was still alive, well and bigger than ever. It was just a treasured possesion on my shelf next to Star Trek, the Adventure Game (West End) and Star Warriors.
Absolutely delighted to find a fan community.

I see we now have 105 members! Any of the new folks want to say a little about themselves and how they came into the STSTCS game?

Hmmmm. Member 105, mumbie, is apparently 112 years old! Computer clock error, or a spambot? What do you think, Brad?

Hello my name is CJ and I live in Phoenix, AZ. I first was introduced to Star Trek back in the early 70's when the Animated Series was on TV. I started reading James Blish and Alan Dean Foster books before I was 10. And I started role playing the FASA RPG when I was in middle/high school in the mid 80's. I am very much in to the technical side of things. I can not draw worth anything, however that being said I can envision anything and have done so many times. My walls are covered in ship drawings and I am always interested in getting my hands on new ships. Right now I am trying to design a Dreadnought Class that will dwarf a D'deridex Warbird. I always have my nose in some book or another Star Trek, usually something to do with ships.

Hey CJ, welcome aboard, dude! I'm Andy. This is a very cool, little "out of the space lanes" site and I'm glad you are here. Phoenix was my home for damn near 20 years, until recently. You will find a multitude of ideas and ships and much more here, and new ones all the time.

Thanks Andy I'm looking forward to it. I like sifting through data on ships. I'm always looking to build a bigger better Dreadnought LOL What part of Phoenix were you living in? Did you ever hear of the UFP (United Federation of Phoenix)?

Welcome CJ. As you can see, lots of schematics on the go for you to drool over. And if you've got ship designs, mini pics, or house rules you want to share, feel free to post them. That's what we're all about here. Mark

Thank you Mark. I'm not that good at drawing, but I can envision ships just by looking at the parts.

Did you ever hear of the UFP (United Federation of Phoenix)? Well, in almost 20 years I lived all over the valley..literally. Mesa, Scottsdale, North and downtown Phoenix. I never lived in Tempe or Chandler or west Phx. but had friends or relatives all over as well. No, I never heard of that club. What is it about?

Well it is primarily a sci fi club, but a lot of the members are Trekkies. I'm a member that's why I was wondering. I live on the west side, but my fiancee and I are trying to find a house in the Tempe area.

Hi I'm new (apparently). Hang on, let me check. Yes indeed, I'm definitely new. I was guided here by not one, but two members. Jason Abbadon and trynda1701. The latter got me drunk one night and said he'd tell you all my dirty secrets if I didn't join, so here I am. I got back into modeling and gaming in 2006 after a long time away from the hobby. Whereas my "roots" are in sci-fi gaming (mainly WH40K), I've always loved mecha and "spacey" sci-fi. All Trek, B5, SAAB, SG1, and the list goes on. RL keeps getting in the way, such as getting hitched, moving multiple times and a few other things have kept me from truly getting down and nerdy, but I'm getting there. Trynda says you're all a great bunch of folks, so I look forward to getting to know you and STSTCSOLDA. Just forgive me if I'm not extremely active as I'm busy with other projects at the moment. One of which Trynda has already mentioned.

Hello ... Just revived a Romulan Ship( 90% original fabrication) and thinking about unveiling it on this site.Completely new here and VERY protective of this design.I am a PURE noob but this scratch built partial bash model is almost ready for paint. If posting pics is easy enough i will start with some teasers.

...Yeah, you're fairly protective, and that's fairly understandable, and I first made some Romulan design ship, when I got the FASA modules, soon after I made it to my manhood. Also, you're not a n00b, anyone could be on the internet for over 300 years, and still, they'd get called "n00bs (dum turd lol)", and called trolls and censored by amateur psychologists, so I warn you, and teach you, and anyone who reads this.
Come on in and show off your ship, and If I survive the Armageddon, then probably I'll put up my Romulan ship, revised.

This model isn't a "mini" game piece...it actually began back in the day of "Star Fleet Battles" in pre 90's high school , then revisited again in College ( Industrial Design) and now as I am between jobs and wanting to see it finally finished. Still unsure of the differences of class between a heavy cruiser and a battleship and what makes a dreadnaught a dreadnaught( 4 warp nacelles? ) Was made to be in scale with the Bandai 1/850 scale "Enterprise A" kit I bought while living in Japan in 2001. Also wanting to "officially" name it but funnily enough if you have read the description of the Romulan Thunderbird it would match my model to a tee, although the images that accompany it are VASSSTLY different from my design. Can't get attachment to work though? How to attach an image?
