My new Star Trek: The Animated Series transports kit is now live on Thingiverse and Google Drive. **Antares type manned transport** The Antares is a transport ship that made its appearance in the TOS Remastered version of the episode Charlie X (in the original version of the episode, the Antares was unseen). This design is largely based on the unmanned cargo drone ship from The Animated Series (the Sherman class listed below), with a forward command module added. **Sherman class drone transport** An unmanned cargo ship first seen in The Animated Series episode More Tribbles, More Troubles (Sherman class is a fanon name). While much of TAS was long considered apocryphal in live-action Trek, Michael Okuda was a fan of this ship, and included it as a 3d model when adding new special effects for TOS Remastered. It appeared in the Remastered episodes Court Martial and The Ultimate Computer. **Huron type transport** The USS Huron was another transport ship seen in The Animated Series, featuring in the episode The Pirates of Orion. **Independence class transport** The Independence class is a fanon design, largely derived from a simplified version of the Huron. **Variants** For the Antares and Sherman ships, I've created several standard variants: - Extended cargo. Contains a second cargo module on the underside of the ship.
- Container transport. Replaces the lower cargo holds with an underslung connector for Franz Joseph style transport containers.
- Antimatter transport. Includes both the extended cargo and a top mounted module container several spherical transport bottles for antimatter storage.
- Top-mounted container. Includes both the extended cargo and a top mounted Franz Joseph transport container.
Due to the large number of variant ship files I'm including (including versions with TMP and Oberth style nacelles), you'll need to download the ship file zip to get the full set.

All you need is to save up enough for a printer, then you can have them all!

Thanks again for putting these up! I can't explain why but I like the TOSified Miranda more than the original.

Amazing work as always, captainmojo Although I'm never going to use these, as I'm not likely to be going to get a 3d printer, I'd love to see a Constellation variant which just used the Miranda style extended saucer, instead of the taller kitbased saucer. The horizontal nacelles as kitbashed originally are ok. It would have given the design a sleeker look. I've always HATED that part of the Stargazer design when I first saw it. I know AMT probably didn't have a Reliant kit for the TNG modellers to use back in 1987, but they could have kitbashed something similar. Or perhaps taken a mould from a smaller Reliant miniature if one was built for distance shots for "Wrath of Khan".

Nice thing about parts kits, is that it took me significantly longer to create and post this image file than it did to assemble the 3d model:

Yup. You can assemble your own from his 3d parts using the free 3d model program in Windows 10 or just use one of his existing canon models already assembled. If you really want to go wild then you can tweak individual design elements in more advanced programs like Blender. Then you just load it into your support program of choice to prep it for printing.

captainmojoAmazing work as always! Two little things. You've posted the S'harien battle cruiser image instead of the Renner corvette image. Plus, what are the differences between the Menahga and Mittanic sub-classes? I can see that the S'harien hanger deck has been moved to the lower rear with outer balcony instead of forward facing on the Menahga and Mittanic variants, plus a different impulse deck. EDIT: Actually, I think I see now the differences between the Menahga and Mittanic classes. It's mainly the torpedo placements, isn't it?

trynda1701 Thanks for the correction. The Renner should be there now. Changes the Mittanic makes to the base Menahga are pretty minor: - Nacelle pylon placement.
- Mittanic secondary hull doesn't extend to cover the lower saucer dome with the torpedo module.
- Miranda style deflector modules added in the neck area.
- Torpedoes moved to the main area of the secondary hull.
- Additional Torpedoes added to the rear hull.

So minor for me nitpick on the Renner. Those nacelles are either as big or almost as big as the core ship itself to my eyes. To me I'd say shorten then? But its jsut a nitpick to me
