JAFisher44Sorry to be nitpicky, but a question. I see you've moved the disruptors to the outrigger pod, where thescreamingswede said they should be. But can the current placement meet the stated Weapon arcs, ie 2fps, 2aps? On the sides of the pods means they have the main hull and nacelles in the way of the forward and aft arcs. However, if you put single emitters on the underside of the pods, at the front AND rear of the pods, you would be firing underneath both the hull and nacelles, meeting the arcs within the 2d abstraction of FASA combat.

Ooo. What technique are you using to create the cut outs on the bottom of the forward saucer?

The disruptors as placed are able to fire fore and aft below the saucer and warp engines. I'm not keen on breaking them up as you've described.

I mentioned that during game play, we sometimes use some of these ships, despite the import costs and tax, that the Federation would put on them, these ships have found their way into the Star Fleet. Here are a couple ways they can be used in this way.
First, we can use them very sensitive scanners and radio pods replacing the weapons pods. They make for great intelligence gathering ships by "seeing and listening" at great ranges into territory of an enemy. We use house rules that I will explain later to gain info on the enemy. At closer ranges, say within 28 hexes on the map, they would get a +4 on the detection role for cloaked ships on the battlefield.
Second they could use similar less sensitive pods to be in the escort of a convoy.
Third they can be equipped with sensor pods that can conduct very detailed scientific scans and so on.
This class, though a pirate's mount by nature, can be used for very legitimate missions as well!!!

While I can see that they can fire as described, I donβt think those placements allow for ALL firing solutions. Eg, put an enemy ship on the line of hexes running out from shield 1. The two port weapons can hit the vessel ahead and port of the Wanderer. But if you put another vessel on the line of hexes running out from Shield 6, and are firing at both vessels, if you've fired the two port weapons at the forward vessel within the fps arc, you can't hit the aft vessel with the starboard weapons, which can't fire into the port portion of the aps arc! The ship is in the way! That was why I suggested the four single cannon emplacements. Then you can fire two weapons at each enemy ship.
