I would hope the Romulans have ships for exploration as well. You can't expand an empire only through conquest!

I love the color illustrations! I like the twin "eagle head" primary hulls - keep up the great work.

All these new designs are amazing, atolm. If you team up with someone who could convert these to Shapeways files, you would probably get quite a few purchases from this forum!

To use a baseball analogy, these pics are "grand-slam home runs"!

Update... Romulan Battle-group: A'Norrex-Class Space Control Ship (small saucer-esque ship in the background), Jerok-Class Cutter (big Ship drawing to the left), and K'rzak-Class Strikebird (asymmetrical Ship to the bottom right): Direct Link: s8.postimg.cc/qhg5dtndx/Romulan_Battle_Group_00.jpg

OK...so let me ask you this...
What do you think of Tourangeau's redraws of your Klingons so far? Are they close enough to your originals that an investment is in order to do these Romulans - or are they just really good material based on your stuff?
Personally, I think he's done an incredible job - but I DO notate that there are definite differences. (Then again - any time I've started tracing one of you 3-view's, I end up about 3 or 4 hours in and realize - THIS IS GONNA TAKE A WHILE! SO I definitely have no room to talk!)

Thanks! I find him talented, but he has misinterpreted many of the shapes. Now granted, I am not providing other views, so it is his interpretations of my work to the best of his ability. Noting the issues with the klinks, I unfortunately, do not believe he would be able to do the roms without more reference material, and that is not his fault, not by a long shot, but rather it is mine for not providing more views... That said, I only do schematics when I have the desire to do them. When I design, there is a lot of complex shapes that are not easy to replicate, but they can be done with the proper reference. Hope that helps!

I just don't see how he came to that schematic from your image.

These designs are little out there - but still incredibly cool!

I had a feeling that was the case. In the past, I've made exceptions to our "three view" rule - usually with just a side view...but your work is on the very short list of folks we make a definite exception for.
Keep up the good work! (think i might slink off and start working on some stats...he he!)

I'm hoping that long keel on the Vr'Nessus-Class Starbird ends in a Wave Motion Gun level plasma torpedo...
Nice work on these, it looks like you spent some time bird watching. The shape of the wings seem natural and makes them all different, which is cool, kind of shows that the Romulans have a less restrictive design motif than do Klingons or federation (or gorn lol) ships.
