He left a hell of a legacy. They just don't make them like that anymore, he created amazing things probably because he had experienced everything.

His main contribution is "Flawed Heroes".
Superman was as near perfect as he could be. Completely believed in his calling and followed his rules without question (at least, until more modern interpretations) but... Spidey? Nope - flawed...and when handled well, more interesting.

I never got into the superhero genera, but Spiderman was always my favorite. Granted, I grew up with the 60s cartoon Spidey and didn't latch on to the numerous revisions thereafter, but I still enjoy sitting down and watching them. Someone on Youtube has been posting all the episodes.
Stan Lee's contribution to the entertainment world will never be matched.

Really sad news indeed. Although I was mainly a DC fan back when I regularly collected comics, I can't deny Stan Lees' contribution to the comics industry. I believe that there may still be a cameo of two he had filmed that have still to be shown in future Marvel movies? Another childhood hero has left us. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends.
