Sweet Thanks again Sleek! I'd love to see the backstory on this class. Lovely! Thanks! Unfortunately, I do not have one. Sorry. Oh, I can easily see this as after the Romulan Star Empire ended the sharing of designs with the Klingon empire, the Star Empire started to tinker and expand upon the old D7/S11 models. First they worked on a new Singularity drive requiring a complete overhaul of the S11 engineering hull. While this hull was unusual and different from anything the Star Empire had used before, it has since become the standard for some of the more recognizable classes, the Sartorix, D'Deridex, even having a definitive influence in the Praetor's own flagship the Praetor's Glory. Of course it can be clearly seen that while all of the ships that have followed this design aesthetic in their double hulled ships, the double hulled design was not originally utilized. Later classes incorporated the double hull design for safety issues deriving from the singularity drives and potential failures with them. ... not that it's "official"... but it's A possibility...

Yes, this makes a lot of good sense, darthgiddy. Probably gets a good testing on either the Triangle borders or perhaps the Gorn frontiers. Work out the kinks in it, then surprise the Klingons. Not bad at all!

Now is that a separable attack craft I see nestled in there under the wicked looking bridge?

Romulan/Ferengi technology exchange? Thanks; but alas no tech exchange. I don't think it really has that "merged"/"hybrid" feel, but her general shape is evoking the marauder. The whole wing shape is a modification of the Vulcan transport's first seen in the TNG episode: Reunification. Now is that a separable attack craft I see nestled in there under the wicked looking bridge? Sorry I did not design her as such. I can totally see your cool idea If it did separate as the design is now, it would take the whole middle section of the ship sans the "command neck". I mean if you don't mind that fact, I'd then say, HELL YEAH!

Double the trouble in one ship! I also like how the wings (upper and bottom) don't cover the same space. my only "?" is how far does the lower wing go back? just beyond sight or to the same line as the upper wing?
