That's a lot of games! Are they running on an older system, or have you got older games to run on a Win7 or Win10 setup? Took some doing but I've got them all running on my Windows 10 machines

Nope. But I have been playing quite a bit of Flight Simulator 2004. In 2004 I had a computer that cost me over $1,000 and it would barely run FS on moderate settings. Today I have a $100 refurbed Lenovo and it runs FS9 maxed out (it's not "Life Like" but its maxed out). I wonder what FS2020 will need? My go-to plane. A Taylor E2 Cub in D-Day paint. A great "low n' slow" plane.

Dude!
That is HARSH!!!! If it's mechanical you may be able to save some of the games.
The HD crashed on my last computer and I have not been able to play ST:STCS since.

It's possible to take the drive apart and remove the platter and recover info from it. If you have thousands of dollars worth of equipment...
Maybe someone offers those kind of recovery services somewhere.

HA! He's describing the ol' "Stiction" issue we dealt with back in the 1980's and 90's...
Cowboy - if you don't hear the drive spinning up like normal (should have a modest whine, followed by a few clicks when the heads start moving), try what he's suggesting in that video. Solid - but NOT hard - wack on a solid surface. Make sure you do this with the edge of the drive NOT the flat surface of the drive. The heads might bounce and scratch the platters if you do it wrong.

Nope the drive is dead, nothing works to get it going again. So I am going to save it until I can afford to have platters recovered. Installed a new drive this afternoon, now comes the fun of rebuilding my gaming empire!!!

Glad to see your PC is on the way to its former old School gaming glory! 😎😎😎😎 Anyone else here play this one.... World of Warcraft patched up to the latest expansion... I played WoW for about a year around the time the third expansion came out, but was playing with the first two expansions of my Mac. Enjoyed it up till about when my main character got up to 50th level, when I stopped renewing the subscription. The grind was just boring, and the novelty of having player and Guild chat wasn't enough to keep me playing. Plus, it was just DAMN ANNOYING everytime a new patch came out for my Orc Shaman, and you had to go back in and reassign points to your skill trees, because Blizzard had changed them, AGAIN!
