and his fans (i.e. the unwashed masses) will get another JJgasm.
But not as much as the producers who rake in the profit$

Star Wars died a long time ago. Have you even seen the new movies? They have bad animation, bad voice acting, and bad writing.
Seriosuly SW cant be saved. At least JJ was able to keep ST going, but it is still alive. SW is pretty much a gonner as far as the modern movies are concerned. But then again, compared to the animated movies (all the new ones) 'JJ Wars' would be a goddess.

Everybody my age utterly ignored the 'Ewoks" TV series. So did my much younger brother, and it was targeted more to his age group. It sucked. Horribly. Maybe it DID kill off Star Wars for some time, because it was after RotJ and nobody really cared until "Heir to the Empire" was published and 'XWing' came out for DOS.
As bad as 'Clone Wars' TV is, it's STILL on! So it has to be gathering ratings somewhere! I really didn't expect much from the new flicks either, and wasn't disappointed in that. At least 3 is actually a good flick despite the flaws. Dying of a "broken heart" really takes the cake, though. It could have plausibly been set up the way Star Trek would handle it, as Naboodians actually DYING when their mate dies as a feature of their species, but no...

You guys are going to hate me (for many many reasons not just my poor taste in art) but I actually...like... the new stuff, or is it nu stuff? I think fans in general, of anything, tend to become attached (understandably so) to their fantasy and don't like it when people mess with it. I love Star Trek. It was one of the few good things about my youth. But, I also enjoy change. Like it or not this universe is driven by causality. So, things get made and they go away. Now maybe there are dimensions of the universe in which all possibilities always exist, but I doubt it. More likely these are simply the nonphysical dimensions of the ones we are currently experiencing, but I digress. This feels like the Trekker equivalent of not liking rock and roll in the 1950s... I love rock and roll.
