As I got this game in 1985 (ST III marketing) and played the HELL out of it in the summer, I follow 5 phase game turns, 1 weapon/target/phase and do NOT repower shields at the end of a phase - although I do allow for transfer of shield power that is available (so long as no shield is powered beyond what it started the game turn with). But alot of material has been added to the Star Trek 'universe' since then. Oddly enough, none of it Dreadnoughts. I have enjoyed Klingon Academy in particular, and highly recommend this real time STSTCS. This game gives regular power bolt disruptors to Klingon ships, AND it gives heavy disruptor blasts that look like the classic TOS en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/D7_class?file=D7_disruptors,_remastered.jpg So I put in some heavy disruptors that have a minimum charge. After a suggestion that I was not clear on the power of my new D10, I tested it against my Constitution - to which I had added some aft weapons as seen in "In a Mirror, Darkly". The constitution won, due to a lucky engine hit and damaging the aft photon. It could have gone the other way, too, making this an even match. My D7 redesign can wipe the ass of the D10, having more power, more SS and a cloak. Bonus points for anyone who can recognize the significance of this ship's name. Attachments:

For comparison. This is the ship that won against it. When I used it in a FAIR fight - I was interested in proving which ship was better. Of course one battle simply proves that this ship can beat the other one. Attachments:

And lastly, a D7 that might threaten an Enterprise class - test to follow when I meet someone willing (and coherent) that will play House of Flesh rules... Attachments:

Well, in case anyone didn't notice, I haven't given a damn about following any fleet construction codes etc. I have just made up weapon codes, power levels and firing charts. If someone knowledgeable and conscientious wants to rectify my stuff, be my guest! I'll put in the correct info eventually.
As for these modified MCPs, does it print OK for everyone or are there misalignments? If it's too ridiculous I'm going to have to redo these entirely in XL...

...For Heavy Disruptors, I use a few of the heavier Disruptor Models, like KD-8 or KD-12, or use the STCSDC KDCs, or a few of my Heavy Cannons for TNG, based some off of LUG's ICON Ships.
That was how I determined the Cardassian's Galor Shields, compared them to the LUG Ferendi D'kora and FRNS-1, LUG and TMP and TNG FASA was made over to Cardassian Beam Weapons.
