Very nice work, Joshua! You've done the Loknar proud! Cool FASA design, just a shame the mini is a pain in the tush to keep the nacelles on! Mark

My minis are pretty much just a pile of spare parts now.

Although it's been a long while since I've played regularly, my FASA minis are all safely encased in their 'egg case' foam storage cases that Games Workshop did years ago (the lower, flatter ones).
But the Loknar is one of only a few to break the nacelles off their struts with monotonous regularity!

Nice!! My favorite ST:RPG ship from 1983. Nice to see it brought to such vivid life, Fisher!

Hmmm...I do see something. Is there a Dorsal/top down view available anywhere here?

These are beautiful. May I ask, Fisher, what is the difference between these two sets? The thing I was seeing was just a tiny detail between the nacelles where they connect to the main hull..not sure how to describe it. But it looks as though you have added it. I would describe it as possibly extra "plating?" shaped almost like a squared "C" clamp. lol. Looks great, man.

Yeah, that's the only difference. I forgot to add it before and I noticed when I posted the dorsal views. I fixed it and posted the new pictures and didn't bother to take the old ones down.

In fASA Trek, this is another of one my favorite ships. In the FASA storyline this ship was designed during the "Great Awakening" and went on to prove itself one of the best ships in the fleet during the Four Years War.
These ships are fun to fight. When used in patrol groups or used as escorts for cruisers they just do one hell of a job. For ships of their class, they are simply tough, Later marks of the class can stand up to enemy's cruisers on a farily good basis,
though by 2280 the class starts to show its age....

I needed a break from the Andor I'm trying to put together so I did this really quick. Enjoy the Mk IV upgrade for the Loknar.

Niiiice. And it meets Roddenberry's aesthetic criteria as well.

I love seeing your Locknar class, almost as much as seeing the Last Taarakian in the buff.

I don't have much to say about this class of ship...simply because it is hard to find a criticism about it. Through out the class's history, it has been that pound the hell out of you ship.
These things deliver a good balance of firepower, engines, and defensive shield and hull strength...These ships will eat you for lunch and then eat your lunch for dinner...
these things are one hell of a ship!!!!
