Diamond Class VIII Light Cruiser
In light of The Rarcher Report’s analysis of the massacre of the Anna Azalea convoy, the entire class of Chain Lightning destroyers were refitted and upgraded. After finishing the last Chain Lightning refit, the construction team chiefs behind it got the idea to work on further updates for the class. It would end up turning the destroyer into a light cruiser with an old-style Klingon battleship’s punch.
Anchor Co-operative’s shipyard at the Esperanza system copied a boom of a Charette-class heavy cruiser, then welded it to an uncompleted Chain Lightning. New engines were needed to power the phasers and photon torpedo the boom carried. Hence the destroyer’s four OWA-1 engines were replaced with copied OWA-2 engines used by Wanderer-class blockade runners. The support struts were reinforced to bear the weight of the OWA-2s. Impulse engines and weapons remained untouched. The passenger section was also cut down to fifteen units. They were replaced by an additional eight-person transporter.
During the new ship’s three shakedown cruises, the crew discovered emergency warp speed was cut by half a warp factor. This was due to the new engines’ weight and the strengthening of the struts. Weapons co-ordination improved during the second cruise thanks to tweaks in the Mark Four control computer.
Anchor’s board of directors were pleased with the results. They christened the class “Diamond” after the most famous diamonds discovered on Earth, Qu’onos, Kepha and Bolchok, homeworld of the Orions. Production is limited to two per year until the KUSN orders otherwise.

Please note, as always, this is meant as constructive criticism. The first involve a few typos. The OWA-2 engines should be 17 points each, not 19. I've seen this before somewhere else, but the standard Construction Manual charts have 17 points for those engines listed. You've added the two 4-point impulse engines total twice, so originally (19*4)=76+8+8=92! Whereas it should actually now be (17*4)+8=76. Plus the OD-3 disruptor bonus damage should be +1 (1-16), not +2. You've actually done that on both versions of the Chain Lightning class too! Ooops! I noticed it when I was going back to compare their stats against this. By the way, on the Mk.I and Mk.II of the Chain Lightning, you said the shielding was increased on the second model over the first. But the maximum shielding is the same on both models. The Mk.I should only have a 4 point maximum, so the Mk.II gets the 6 point maximum. Now onto the issues of the Diamond class. As I said, the concept is good. But, you state it uses the Orion Mk.IV computer, which COULD handle 12 OD-3 disruptors, but your weapons load now exceeds that! The added pair of FH-3 phasers and one FP-1 torpedo gives us a maximum WDF of 52, whereas the Mk.IV has a maximum capacity of 40. And just to throw another spanner in the works, the OSJ shields would only have a 7 point maximum at Class VIII tonnage, if going by the Manual. Now, I know you have had four engines vessels before. Are you using extended charts like the ones in the Tactical Starship Combat site by Brian Jecko? Or are you using a bit of artistic license, the same way I added a Romulan computer on my Marauder class? Please note, I'm not trying to shoot down your creativity. You know I LOVE the Kephans. I just want to make sure these designs are as close to legal as we can make them, unless you are going the chartless construction method way, in which case, it's just the typos that need addressed.

I guess I would have to say "artistic license". For whatever reason, I didn't think about these charts when the Chain Lightning was crafted.
I've made the changes you pointed out on the Diamond-class. They'll be posted here soon. And again, many thanks for making them.

A billion thank-yous to Atolm for originally making the T-1 Invader, which is the inspiration for this new Kephan ship. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Cornucopia Class V Freighter Anchor Co-operative, builder of the Bushel Basket-class freighter, reaped a harvest of ridicule with it’s first appearance in Orion spaceports. Seeking to escape any repeat of scorn from potential customers, their operatives sifted through the reconstituted ships rescued from Federation and Klingon scrapyards. They hit paydirt with the arrival of four old T-1 Invader-class assault ships. Buried within the ship class was a potential freighter that didn’t bring snide remarks and laughter in it’s wake. The design team hit upon the idea of removing the central section and merging the long port and starboard hulls together. Then the ship’s bridge would replace the photon torpedo’s place in the schematics. The six original disruptors were reduced by half. These changes added a warp factor to the craft’s speed. Cargo transporters were increased by two. Crew quarters were slightly increased by removing some of the original passenger quarters. Left untouched were the shuttlecraft bays, which held more shuttles than even the Chesterton-class battleships. It was thought this would appeal to those who wanted their cargo offloaded as fast as possible. Plus it would hold more goods than it’s potential rival the G-8 Baka Re’ but for far less money.
The first major appearance of the class was during Operation: Lazarus. Two of the seven convoys transporting tons of eels and snakefish from Earth to the Klingon warrior resort world of QaHQun were the new ships christened Cornucopia.
The class is being made at Aristungah, Acne, Monavees and Esperanza at the rate of ten a year.

Jacques Cathelineau Class IX Battleship
Anchor Co-operative's Board of Directors looked to make their own dreadnought in light of the Vendee's successful raid into Federation space. However, the Klingons on the Board refused to allow another ship built with a Federation saucer in any way. They demanded the traditional boom structure remain in the new ship class. They further demanded K'nip Shun's designer Alphonso Fernando De Santa Cruz not get involved because of his crazy antics.
Orion members on the Board suggested the new class use a similar design plan as the Chain Lightning-class destroyer but with Klingon parts. This mollified the Klingon bloc enough to avoid any fatal duels on their part for honor's sake.
Around this time, the Romulans sent a damaged out-of-service M-39 Type 1 “Illuminator” heavy assault ship – minus cloaking device and with wonky warp engines – with the K’manatri Convoy to Kephan space. The M-39 was sent with damage unrepaired and staffed by a thousand known “outcasts”. They didn't inform the Unity Congress about this late addition, thinking in vain the ship would suffer an “accident” on it's way to Kepha. This did slow the Convoy's progress down but not enough to stop it completely.
When the Romulan “outcasts” and their ships arrived in Kephan space, the M-39's engines were replaced with Klingon engines but saved for future use. The Klingon bloc on Anchor's Board found a T-4 Model B “Earthquake”-class heavy assault ship listed “missing” long ago on Imperial records and sent to Kephan space.
The proposed new ship had the Earthquake welded on top of the Illuminator, keeping it’s boom as was agreed. Both ships were repaired and welded, the spaces between them filled. Klingon impulse engines replaced the Romulan one, which nonetheless was also saved for future use. The new ship had 70 shuttlecraft, twice that of the Chesterton-class battleships. Troop quarters in both ships were removed, replaced by an MDZ-1 super-computer. Like the Vendee, this harmonized Klingon and Romulan systems to work as one. Romulan RSK shields and transporters replaced the Klingon ones, increasing safety factors by a wide margin. Disruptors from both empires remained with the Romulan photon torpedo encased within the Klingon boom.
Named after the first general of the Vendean Uprising, the Jacques Cathelineau was proposed to be the command ship of a new heavy attack squadron. All ships except the scouts had an “X-Warp” engine scheme. Two Diamond light cruisers and four Chain Lightning destroyers were assigned to the battleship along with two Waterfall scouts. It was designated as the “St. Andrew Squadron” in honor of St. Andrew the Apostle, who was crucified by the Romans on an x-shaped cross.
The battleship and squadron was assigned to the Triple Capitol.

Do the engineering teams of the Unity get performance bonuses for welding ships together? For a moment, when I first saw her, wasn't sure how it was two different ships, till I saw the two vessel type listings on Bryan Jeckos' ( walrusguy on here) site (the Romulan M-39 is the conversion of the Klingon T-4). Interesting about there being non-Kephan members on the company boards. I hadn't noticed that in the past if it's been mentioned before. EDIT: Being Scottish, love the squadron name! Another fine edition to the Star Navy. The "Insane Ones" have done it again!

Dream Wing Class VIII Light CruiserThis Kephan ship emerged from a Federation psychological operation gone wrong and built from Klingon scrapped ships by the Klingons themselves. During a trade conference disposing of old Klingon ships sold to the Orions, the Federation team concocted a fake dossier to smear the Kephans. It claimed they would combine four D-11 One Wing destroyers into a “supership” if successful in buying them from the Orions. The Kephans made no such plans and said so. The Klingon team then offered to build such a craft from their scrapyards just to gift it to the shocked Kephans and embarrass the Federation. It took a year to find the pieces of three D-11 A-models and one C-model, then mixing them together based on the manufactured Federation documents. The C-model's boom held the weak KD-10 disruptor while the wings kept their original KD-4s and KD-5s. The expanded hull held twin KIC-2 impulse engines with additional radiation shielding. The lack of a photon torpedo didn't bother the shipbuilders much since they wouldn't own or operate the new light cruiser to begin with. Reinforcement of the wings kept the craft from shaking apart during emergency speed tests. The new ship was delivered to the system where the Klingons captured the namesake of the derided Swordfish destroyer long ago. The Congress sent a “note of thanksgiving” to the Empire for the surprise gift, christening it HHS Generosity. It was assigned to Survey and Colony Command, assisting convoys settling habitable worlds along the Unity's northern borders.

Co-operation Class IX Heavy Cruiser
After the birth of a Kephan-inspired economic alliance between the major Orion worlds, the government on the old pirate base of Takers proclaimed they could build a “supership” based on the derided D-11 One Wing destroyer like the Klingons built from scrap. Only they would make it quicker and cheaper as Orions tended to do. But the world never built a ship before, nor had a shipyard to make it. This didn't bother them, so they proceeded to create both at the same time within six months. The ship they made reflected both their haste and their crudeness.
The overall design was inspired by the T-1 Invader assault ship. The body of the ship was two D-11s, though one was made as the mirror image of the original. Copied pieces from the rear hull of a D-7 connected both halves. Six Orion OD-4 disruptors took the place where originally the weak KD-4 weapons would be. The slightly less powerful OSM shields guarded the craft in place of the KSJ model. The shuttle bay in the central section held five shuttlecraft. Unlike most Klingon craft, neither of the twin booms could detach in case of emergency.
The Kephans, shocked by the promised “surprise gift” the Takers government presented to them, christened it the HHS Co-operation in honor of the new Orion trade coalition. Like the Dream Wing light cruiser, it was assigned to Survey and Colony Command, assisting convoys settling habitable worlds along the Unity's northern borders. When the Klingons first spied it flying through the Neutral Zone to Kephan space, they laughingly named it “Two Headed Clown”. Star Fleet kept their classification of it secret.

So the only thing I feel is odd here, is the weapon's placement. given the hull design now. I mean for the original d-11 www.ststcsolda.space/klingons/D-11/D-11.html it makes sense to only have f/p and a/s ....kind of (I personally feel the ship could have banked disruptors along the neck beam lol). But this hull form should easily adapt to having the ability to mount f/p f/s a/p a/s easily even if it was just 2f/p 2f/s 1a/p 1/as (dividing up the 6 banks like this) instead of the 3f/p and 3a/s Not to be overly harsh or nothing just giving my thoughts.

No problem, good buddy! This is just Takers acting like what stereotypical Orions did in the Book of Common Knowledge - - make things cheap, quick and dirty. They gave themselves six months to finish making this and it's shipyard. So the screwy design reflects the haphazard building of it. Perhaps a Mark Two of the Co-operation class would solve the disruptor problem.
I'd see the Co-operation and Dream Wing ships escort an average Bushel Basket convoy with a Waterfall scout to specified colony worlds.

Friends, here is the convoy's set up one could put on a hex map. I hope this will help in any future gaming scenarios. Two thumbs up!

Johnson Class VII Destroyer-Scout
Bern Sonorah the Exhausting was happy that his boast of building both ship and shipyard within six months was made reality. Now he planned to take his efforts in a different direction with now old Federation technology.
His base on the former Orion colony world Takers was ready to take on his next project. He planned to offer Star Fleet a concept ship that took ideas from how the Kephans designed their starships. Sonorah looked at two veteran ships from the Four Years War era - - the Larson-class destroyer and the Nelson-class scout. From his experience guiding the building of the Co-operation, he studied the features of both classes, both good and bad. Combining both classes into one would mitigate the flaws in each.
He made inquiries and deals to get the plans for both the Federation's FWC-2 warp engines and FP-2 photon torpedoes. To his chagrin, he discovered the FWC warp engine series were no longer built. Star Fleet tightly held the details to the FP-2 to themselves. As a result, it took twice as long to build the “concept ship” as Sonorah named it. Still he wasn't discouraged and presented it's plans to Star Fleet's representatives on Botchok.
They thanked him for his presentation but ultimately refused his plan, giving as reasons the gift of the Co-operation to the Kephans. Undeterred, he contacted the Unity's embassy on Botchok and made his pitch. He was told that under no circumstances did they want anything close to their derided Swordfish destroyer built long ago. Sonorah assured them there would be no Klingon boom attached to the proposed ship.
On a last minute hunch, he then spoke to the Asparax Confederacy's officials and made a similar offer. He'd provide them with their own ship on proviso that they improve and increase trade relations with Takers. He further told them the ship would be like thumbing their noses at the Federation for the scandal involving the frigate Arkadelphia. That cinched the deal for him.
During these negotiations for the ship, he read up on the English Earthling writer, poet, playwright and dictionary writer Samuel Johnson. He was fascinated on how he worked his way up to notability and celebrity as well as his friendship with James Boswell, who would write his biography. This inspired him to christen his “concept ship” the Johnson-class. The Samuel Johnson was sent to the Kephans, who assigned it to Commerce and Colony Command. It's counterpart, the James Boswell went to beef up Asparax's defenses.

Only critique i got and this is true too for the Nelson is personally it always irked me that the bussard scoop was 1/2 to 3/4th hidden by the deflector dish, so in my head i always lowered the pylon just enough to clear the dish. So only suggestion if you cleaned up the pic if you wanted would be to lengthen the pylon on the bottom. Otherwise looks good!
