Hey all, this is Glenn Gagnon - if you have in-depth knowledge of the Federation ships posted on this site, you'll know me as the creator of the Illustrious-class strike carrier and the Clark-class scout. That was a full decade ago (jeez, makes me feel old) and I'm back in the sci-fi scene, but in a non-Trek fashion.
To make a fairly long story short, I really enjoyed doing things in Trek, but it was a lot of effort for no potential return, since Viacom doesn't like to let random people make money off of their stuff. Over a good few years, I developed a new "space opera" that (I hope) brings together many of the great ideas behind the genre. Galactica, B5, Trek, etc. were all influences as I fleshed out the worlds, people, and their stories.
I imagined this idea as a series of graphic-novel length comic books (avg. over 50 drawn pages per issue) and wrote over thirty scripts for it. Here's the rub, though - I had no one willing to draw/ink it (without being paid in advance, that is, LOL). Being a graphic/web designer who thinks he has a small bit of talent, I've digitally drawn out the first few pages of Issue #1, and posted them on line. The art isn't anywhere near what a publisher would even bother looking at, but I'm hoping to attract attention from far more talented artists who could see the potential and say to themselves, "I could do this series justice."
OK, enough of my whining - "Galaxies: The Graphic Novel Series" is not just about ships in space blowing each other up - it's a story about Humanity and all the worlds it comes from, and how it faces the real possibility of being taken over by mysterious forces from outside the Milky Way galaxy.

Please give it a look and let me know what you think! You'll see nods to my old Trek models there, and while I'm at it, let me give a holler at Brad, very glad to see you're keeping up the old site!
Cheers!
Glenn
