Greetings once more, starship fans! After presenting a run of battlewagons recently, it's time for me to downsize somewhat, and show off the zippy Arrow class Fast Response Ship. Created to liberate Starfleet's cruiser fleet from the shackles of being emergency responders, Fast Response Ships were staged at strategic points throughout the Federation's expansion zones following the Four Years War. Nimble, quick and reasonably armed, (Only one torpedo tube, but its a cruiser-sized one!) Arrows proved to be excellent interceptors along the Neutral Zones, as well as providing an armed courier service for vital supplies and VIPs. The artwork, once again, is a preview from the starship miniature combat rules I'm working on - Klingons on the Starboard Bow! - of which I will share more details very soon. Getting the last of the pre-playtest release bugs squished at the moment... Arrows were among the first classes fitted with linear warp drive, which is more efficient at higher FTL velocities than its radial predecessor. (Hence the 'evolutionary' look of the nacelles; a stepping stone from those of the TV Enterprise to those of the movie starship.) This will be a 47mm long pewter miniature (in 1/3125 scale; I believe we will be releasing it in 1/3788 also), available soon from Studio Bergstrom. Stay tuned for more designs soon; the Klingons have been neglected for a few weeks now, and they are not happy with me.... - Martin

Macrossmartin, that is an excellent ship. And good call regarding the transitioning of the Fed warp engines from TOS style to TMP style. Not bad at all!
I'm on pins-and-needles to see what you will have on the Klingons, as well as the other canon Trek races. Onward and upward!

Very cool. The slope of the secondary hull makes it look fast as heck.

I was trying to come up with something similar for a federation escort---the only real difference was I wanted a split hull up front to hold a heavy phaser (like an FH-11 on a class V hull).

Actually... I like it. I have issues with it ('cuase nothing is perfect), but I still like it a lot.
