This gets close to a political discussion, bu Star Trek did tell a lot of morality tales.
Just watching DS9, and i was kind of struck by Season 3 Ep 11. Sisko, Dax, and Bashir get teleported (thanks to a bunch of technobabble) to San Fransisco 2024.
San Francisco has a Sanctuary District and a large homeless problem in the 2020's. They even mentioned riots in France. It seemed... prescient.
Sisko and Bashir did not mention street feces though (thank goodness I don't live there anymore).

Let's see - TOS - first moon landing in July 1969... Actual history, first moon landing on July 20, 1969!
DS9 - homeless riots in San Francisco in 2024... Jury's still out but, looks to be possible...

That might make an interesting research activity: How often was Star Trek right? TOS did presage flip-phones, MP3 (or at least computer-accessible music), portable computer storage media (SD cards, thumb drives, etc...), Alexa, Cortana, and Siri, even e-books.
TNG predicted touch-screen operating systems.
I may have to research this, which means I'll have to watch more Star Trek.
