Guys, I just don't want there to be bad blood around here. IIRC on the old board Brad almost banned "kitbashing" after a big dust up with Vance and some people over his parts kits. I certainly don't want to be the cause of a repeat of something like that simply because I made a goof.
Meteo, you have to admit that your choice of words in #141 could have been a bit more diplomatic...

Yes, no offense is meant by myself either. I have the greatest respect for all of my fellow designers.

...It was about as diplomatic as can be, while still being honest.
...And, I was totally honest on his great parts, and fair nature, and he isn't even that bad, I know a place where there are Real unfair douches, and compared to them, he's actually quite a Stand-up. Like with a lot of things I've said, I'm as honest as a Zaldan on that one.

Let's move on

Uh, Gorn...whatever it is isn't showing up...and are you sure you have the right thread? At any rate, an experiment in detailing. Started off as a bog-standard Connie refit (Enterprise subclass), but I "aged" her in a different direction, with subtle changes in the shield grid, the explicit inclusion of aft torpedoes (I know, that's been done before, but I wanted to do it too), and mods to the warp nacelles to add a few more touches from the "Phase II" nacelles on the fore end. and a few years later

I don't often break out the color tooklits (more parts for B&W), but I did this a long time ago. I just dusted it off and did some cleanup and mods on it. It's sort of an homage, as it were...

Cool designs for the Minerva and T'Penga. N.B. Shouldn't the Cook class have a SFB credit, as well as Vance? Keeps you straight with SVC. Mark

zook...best bet is to Right click on the images and "Save as"
Trynda, is that where the Napoleon comes from? It was on the list simply as a Vance ship. I can certainly modify the credit.

Trynda, is that where the Napoleon comes from? It was on the list simply as a Vance ship. I can certainly modify the credit. Yup. The schematic is based on the design of the 'old' version of the SFB fleet carrier. It's been ret-conned out of official SFB history, although you can still get the mini mail order though, I believe? Here's a pic of the original SFB mini painting guide with copyright date of 1982 by S V Cole ... ...to show you the design that Vance based his schematic on. Vance has done a few schematics of some SFB designs. Probably best if the credit went in, something along the line of "schematic by Vance, based on an original SFB design"?or something? I'll leave that to you. If you want, I'll let you know if more SFB designs come up? (unless of course, Vance himself beats me to it! ) Mark
