This is the first I've heard of it, so no, all my stuff for the Tholians and VSC have been home brewed and tested thoroughly. Most of my stuff was developed in the 80's and refined through the years. I've also done equipment for a few other races as well as upgrade technology for all the main players (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Gorn, Orion). Granted, that stuff only goes to about 20 years past Star Trek VI, but my groups have never been interested in going into TNG for some reason (I'm not hip on it either mind you, so there might be some influence on my part).

That sounds great. So what you came up with predates what is now available online for extended stats for all the main players and other races.

We eventually got a computer when I was 15 or 16 (an ATARI 520ST of all things), but the Interwebbything was not on the radar at that time (we lived in the sticks. Hell, our home phone was a Party Line until I moved out in 88.), so I had to extrapolate everything from scratch or kitbash other ideas. Some of my spin off groups were still using my stuff into the 2000s. I don't think those guys are still playing. I haven't seen some of them in decades! ...I feel so old.

Hey, I'm 58 this year, and I continue to embrace my inner child! Two years back, I introduced our oldest grandkid to D&D. He loves it! More power to games and imagination

Ha ha, the 1000th Mile for you, Trynda! That's what I get for being a Mac user! No problem. I run into this issue a lot at work where people use Macs and can't run things the other 99% of us can. I will send it over for you. Jim

I'm going to sort it at the weekend if that's OK? Yeah my pic thing is the Andro symbol. They were the best race in SFB before they got nerfed by fed heads that cried because they kept getting beaten 🤣🤣🤣 Jim

Jim Got those two versions you sent me last night safely. There's good news and bad news! The basic Version 1 works fine. As you said, it doesn't work in the same way as V2, in that it just calculates the basic CE figures from the basic values for power, shields etc that you input, no component weights get input and totalled. And that giant weapons table, wow! A bit awkward to get used to, but it does therefore give you many variations of the original FASA weapon stats. And checking with my Orion Assassin design, gives me very close to my manually worked out stats, allowing for rounding errors in both my caculations, and how the weapons stats from the spreadsheet have been calculated. As for Version 2 that you modified for me to run without drop down menus? It's STILL not working out! I'm not sure, but I think that it might still be being corrupted by the REALLY old software I'm using on the iBook (Appleworks!), plus, instead of having the FORM pages and the final Ship Manual page layout page on tabs, it's got them one after another below each other. I'm not sure, but I think that might be messing with the layout of the cells. The total weight and superstructure and WDF values are totalling, but the usual problems with D values persist. One thing, am I correct in saying that the movement ratio and shield ratio should now be input as the reciprocal of 2/1 movement or 1/3 shield ratio? I'll keep trying at it, because I kept inputting values into yellow boxes by mistake, and that looses the formulae therein! But if it's still not working, I think you may have done all you can do, which I fully appreciate! Mark
