Prodigy? No. Strange New Worlds? Yes*
*Only when I next get a free trial and have a couple seasons of crap to catch up on. No way I'm paying for any of it given the poor quality of what I've seen so far in STD s1/s2 and Picard s1.
I didn't vote since I have a split answer.

I'd say "No" to both! Put it as simple as that.

I have to say NO to both. I no longer have faith that any new Start Trek product will miss any opportunity to add suck and discard cool.

I like Anson Mount and Rebecca Romjin but, I'm very much on the fence about anything that CBS/Viacom do with Trek... It's been Drek so far.
IF (big if) there is a free trial on Paramount+ I MIGHT try to watch the premier of SNW but, that's probably about it.

I'll watch them. That doesn't necessarily mean I'll like them. I'm not a big fan of Discovery but I've watched all of it. I enjoyed Picard, though I felt it was a letdown in some areas. It will come as little surprise to people who know my work here that I am greatly interested in the ships of Star Trek and I feel that the ships from Picard are a huge letdown. Also, I would have loved for them to officially canonize the Odyssey class.

Too late for me at this point. Maybe one day Trek will get a John Favreau and I'll give the franchise another go, but until then... TOS, TNG, and DS9 on dvd will suffice. Besides, even with the dumb episodes, so far Orville has been better Trek then New Trek has been.

Thank-you.
I kinda ran out of things to talk about. Trek seems to be pretty much dead at this point. I have no opportunities to game much (the lock-downs ended the local shop where I had been gaming). It seemed like all I did was argue with ... "that guy" when I did show up (because I didn't have much else to talk about, and he and I genuinely do not get along).
I'm not complaining, but when you put these together, what is left to discuss in such a focused forum?
Maybe I'll start an odd thread just for a grin.

As for New Treks, whenever it's available, I'll probably give "Strange New Worlds" a try, just based on Anson Mounts' portrayal of Captain Pike.
Even though I've still to watch the second half of S2 of "Discovery"!

I guess I should at least watch Strange New Worlds episode 001. I'll try to keep an open mind.

Here's the thing (Monkism) - I really like Anson Mount. He was great in Hell on Wheels (that show literally went off the rails but, I digress) and though I didn't watch Disco (never will), the few clips I've seen of him portraying Pike seem to jibe very well with Jeffery Hunter's portrayal.
Then there's Rebecca Romjin...what can I say there?

I did watch a couple of episodes of "Prodigy". I haven't made up my mind yet. The Holographic Janeway is ... meh ...

I have been enjoying Prodigy, actually. The lead character Dal is annoying, but it is a breezy show. I get that Prodigy is not rigid Starfleet but it does have charm. For a kids show, it is currently on par with Star Trek the Animated series.
