Yes, but until early 44, the Corsair was restricted to land bases. Mainly serving with USMC squadrons. ?his was because of problems related to landing the Corsair aboard USN carriers. It took the Royal Navy to solve those issues. So for immediate action with USN, you might want to go with the Hellcat...

I'm well aware of the limitations the US Navy had with the Corsair, but the question was, which would you rather fly.
