Played around of Harpoon last night and man what a sight we had out on the floor..
It was a final battle in a series of scenarios taking place in 1990. the setting was down the Denmark Strait.. A Soviet amphibious force was trying to land reinforcements on occupied Iceland.
A US SAG consisting of two Spruance class cans, a Kidd class can, a Belknap and an Iowa fired every Tomahawk TASM they had based off of bearings from a submarine picket line....the stream of missiles was 50 miles long...can you think what that would have looked like in real life.
The Picket line consisted of three Los Angeles class submarines. the USS Providence, USS Oklahoma City, and USS San Juan. these boats added their TASMs to the stream as it passed by each boat.
It took us three hours to role the results of the attack, but the enemy task force was totally destroyed. Though they did go down fighting, but they were totally overwhelmed by missiles.
But man that would have been on hell of a battle to see...
