So here's another design by my buddy Brandon, repurposing the Romulan traded S-4 scout into a sort of combined monitor/scout for the KUSN but with only 3 ever being built. The idea being that they act as an internal 'police' squadron within the Unity constantly patrolling up and down the internal regions for trouble.
In 2265 the Unity took possession of a single S-4 class scout from the Star Navy in trade. In that trade also were a sizable contingent of Romulan outcasts. Many of whom had knowledge of ship building, colony construction and more badly needed skills that they were more then happy to provide for their new home and safety. With this skill these outcasts privately took the original S-4 scout and built two more over the next several months. After commissioning the now called KS-4 had the distinction of being the only trio of ships so far in the KUSN to be solely crewed and built by these outcast Romulans. Christened the HHS Eyes Of Wonder, HHS Ears Of Wonder, and HHS Nose Of Wonder after an old Romulan outcast fable of a heroic figure of their culture, these three ships took up the personal role of internal policing actions within Unity space. Soon dubbed the 'Green Squadron' by many within the Unity's civilian arm. The KS-4's kept the entiretity of their original Romulan systems. But these inventive outcast engineers found ways to tweak the RWB-1 drive systems to be less power demanding during maneuvers at warp and sublight than the original RWB-1. This also had the benefit of slightly increasing the monitor/scout's warp speeds by a full factor both and cruising and emergency speeds further cementing their role as a police pursuit vessel. Of course this meant further structural reinforcement across the entire hull frame but the end result was considered worth it for survivability in and out of combat. Next the outcasts copied and added a single extra RB-7 disruptor and mounted it to cover the aft quarter. Further the scout's already robust sensors were also upgraded for their new role. Lastly refinements of the monitor/scout's R-3M computer system given newer technologies allowed small reductions in the original crew needs. This then allowed a small double bunk room to be put in its place giving the monitor/scout a 5 man marine squad if desired before leaving a port of call. A doubling of the ship's cargo bay also allowed further provisions to be given to the ship. When all was said and done the KS-4s were welcomed into the KUSN fleet roster and though kept under the outcast's command and control would soon be a respected sight among the civilian sector within the internal regions of Unity space. No plans are in place for the KUSN to make any further constructions of this class or for the outcasts to design a more traditional equipped variant for production.

Thoughts brickwall ? Personally I liked my buddies idea of a 'Green Squadron' LOL given the shape of the S-4 I can't help but now picture that rear wing assembly has some kind of 'space police lighting' on them!
