Here is something more for fleshing out the Tordell Empire! The Empress Class XII Dreadnought. Data obtained is from wreckage from the battle in the Corillian System in the other post's epilogue. Enjoy! brickwall
In the aftermath in the weeks after the Unity's engagement of a Tordell fleet within the boundaries of the Corillian System during their delivery of 'Night Soil' to the underground species. Salvage teams were sent by Fleet Admiral R'Archer to sift through the remains for anything of use. Unfortunately much of what remained had already either drifted off into the emptiness of space, fallen into the planets or local sun, or likely be carted off by unknown pirate forces. But on the final day of the week long search, a science officer aboard the HHS Orange Banana one of the newest Fruit Class V Scouts in the KUSN among the three ship force, struck pay dirt when they happened upon the partly intact remains of the Savage class destroyer's computer core!
Data mining brought some cultural elements to light about the mysterious Tordell Empire. They were indeed a territorial force, strong minded, and driven. They were led solely by a single Empress who rose to power every 50 years after being trained by the previous Empress who would then go on in their final 20 years of life to command a mammoth ship for the new Empress. This ship known as the Empress class was a massive ship by many standards. Thankfully according to the salvaged records only one is ever built per Empress's reign, the previous one is then broken up for parts used elsewhere in the Empire. The ship is always armed with the best technology within the Empire each generation. Like many ships in the Empire it carries a very strong 'forward punch'. This as the data revealed was made up of a curious 'spiral patterned' phase disruption system, it was quite energy intensive but fairly accurate and damaging. Further data mining revealed that if it struck near areas occupied by a targeted ship's crew its fallout radiation often was deadly enough to kill or at least incapacitate members in that area. Heavier missile punch was provided by a torpedo system of similar make to those found on other Tordell ships. There was also data to include strong hull armor and the ability for the ship to carry up to 200 landing or boarding troops.
All in all the ship on its own could cut a swath through many lesser ships and no doubt would be escorted when in fleet actions out of port by several equally well trained escorts. The current status and location of this nightmareish vessel within the Empire is unknown from data mining.
