OK in the 80s we were 100% physical, pencil and paper and cardboard chits on a paper map (and we LIKED it, ungh!).
I see in my absence folks have digitized just about everything including GUI for the ship construction -- and once AI gets going, probably can even animate the battle scenes for us.
I'm somewhere in-between. There's just something about the physical models (which we now digitize just to print out physically) and maps (which we digitize to print out and use physically along with pencil and paper.) There are tons of games on screens and this one belongs on a tabletop, IMO.
So in that spirit, here's my digitization of a few of the steps to make the pencil and paper easier (and in at least one case, LARGER for people who have eyes my age and older!!)

I've formfilled a starship construction sheet and redone the MCP in a larger format so it is more easily read. Some of the calculations are included in the build sheet (that is, if you hit enter every time and give Blahdobe Craprobot a few tries to catch up). The old MCPs were produced on a tiny scale back then to save paper and table space. Well now we have much more of both and don't need to squint, gol-dagnabbed-it.

(oh, and hi - returning from about a 40-year hiatus on this game and have decided to run it a bit at cons. I'm using my vast array of Attack Wing models and a bunch of printed TMP-era stuff in a similar scale. Game mats and 3D models are on the way and I'm eager to create about 147 more builds in the next few weeks)
