This is not a rule so much as a suggestion. When posting large images please consider using the image tag to reduce the size to a maximum of 800 pixels. It is fairly easy to do and helps keep the threads narrow so that word wrap works properly. In order to set a size for an image you just specify the height and width in the tag.
Here is an example: (img width=800 height=600)http://www.imageurl.com(/img) replace () with []
This will force the image to 800x600 pixels. Of course if you don't want the image to be distorted you may need to do a little maths to figure out what the appropriate height is based on an 800 pixel width.
Again, no one will get in trouble for not doing this. It is just a courtesy.
