Take a look: home.comcast.net/~ststcsolda/klingons/ktinga/ktinga.htmlI used several studio shots of the actual K'tinga model (both from TMP and from ST:VI) to render the ventral and stern aspects. The most difficult part was distinguishing merely artistic "paint" effects from structural markings. Especially since the K'tinga in ST:VI is so very different from its TMP cousin. As so often happens, I had to approximate a lot of things, and putty over certain problems. I'd say the final version is perhaps 85% accurized, which isn't too bad. If the studio shots revealed anything, they revealed how non-bilateral the models turned out to be at fine detail. We never notice on screen because for motion-camera shots, even stills, it's good enough. But when seen up close, the little inconsistencies start to stand out. Which again made rendering difficult. Anyway, I am glad to have this ship page updated. It was a long time in coming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=58wJRrvVgZI

That is a sweet K'tinga - I would never guess it is "just" 85% accurate.

No, no, no, that just not right at ALL. Terrible, the artist doesn't know what he's doing, what was he thinking! Seriously, very cool new schematics! I'm gonna be interested to see what you come up with for the ventral view of the D-10 with the large grill like structures present on the miniature! That is, IF you plan to update all the schematics on the database eventually to include 5 views, Brad. (Are you mad! ) Mark

Hey Gorn, can you shrink the picture down a bit....kinda a big signature and space taker.

FYI, I edited Gorn's profile and shrank the image to something less crowding.

I always hypothesized that the ST VI version was an S model.
