I took a little break from my TNG projects to put together an SRM for the ships of Axanar.
Like for TNG SRM, I followed certain 'formulas' and parameters for these designs as well. Overall power levels, potential movement and firepower are all limited. Watching the Axanar videos, I saw ships that moved very slowly compared to what we see in TNG and these ships moved pretty slow even compared to the damaged Enterprise and Reliant from ST II: WoK. Keeping this in mind, I limited power as much as I could - for both the Klingon and Federation ships. The early Federation ships are outclassed by their Klingon counterparts - as they should be. However, the Ares and Constitution help redress that imbalance when they are introduced. The earlier Federation ships depend on lasers and accelerator cannons. In the FASA manuals, the Constitution was also armed with these weapons. However, the Axanar production introduces phasers and photon torpedoes on the Ares - which pre-dates the Constitution. So these weapons are introduced earlier than in the FASA publications. Likewise, Enterprise clearly shows us that the Klingons (and even the Romulans) were using photon torpedo weaponry long before the Federation was formed. Keeping this in mind, the Klingon ships are all equipped with these weapons. The Axanar videos also show the Federation and Klingon ships firing their weapons from very close range and missing as often as they hit. So I deliberately used short-ranged and inaccurate weapons as often as I could - for both sides. The low-powered shields, low-powered and inaccurate weaponry combined with anemic movement will make games very challenging and a lot of fun to play. The Klingon ships can outmaneuver the Federation ships but the Federation ships are pretty solid and take more punishment.
The profiles are still incomplete - missing all the extras like cargo space, transports, date entering service, etc. But I have provided enough data so far to play the ships in games. I will add the extra info as I have time.
The Hermes is one of the newest ships to enter service prior to the Four Years War. It is a heavily armed destroyer.

This D-6 uses the same engines as FASA's D-4. Axanar's D-6 has two massive cannons in the secondary hull, so I gave it two KD-7 disruptors for the beam weapon armament. Its weapons are potent, but it cannot defend itself from attacks coming from port or starboard. This ship should be escorted by the D-5 in combat.

My D-7A differs slightly from FASA's in just two significant ways: First, it uses KWE engines. Power remains the same but it bumps the ship up to a Class IX vessel (with the shield generator bumped up to keep protection the same) to give it the mass it deserves and I have added a KP-2 torpedo because the Klingons have been portrayed as early users of this weapon.

This D-6 uses the same engines as FASA's D-4. Axanar's D-6 has two massive cannons in the secondary hull, so I gave it two KD-7 disruptors for the beam weapon armament. Its weapons are potent, but it cannot defend itself from attacks coming from port or starboard. This ship should be escorted by the D-5 in combat.

My D-7A differs slightly from FASA's in just two significant ways: First, it uses KWE engines. Power remains the same but it bumps the ship up to a Class IX vessel (with the shield generator bumped up to keep protection the same) to give it the mass it deserves and I have added a KP-2 torpedo because the Klingons have been portrayed as early users of this weapon.
