Kind of looks like some Star Fleet ship was tracking this odd piping noise coming over subspace near the center of the galaxy only to encounter the Daemon Sultan himself, and this vessel is the love child that resulted from that coupling.

As always, thank you everyone for the support. The point of this project was for me to really test some of trek's more basic convictions...meaning, when you watch trek, you'll notice that space travel, living/working in space, the crews do not see space as the most dangerous environment they've ever encountered. As such, I decided to approach a starship design with that premise in mind. Meaning, that if people are that comfortable in that element, then it would stand to reason that their vessels could exploit more avenues of style and design. The corridors for example would not need to be just straight, as artificial gravity has been totally conquered, thus a crew member could be walking on a "ceiling" at the same time as another would be walking "normally" on the "floor". That thought process, as well as a few others; such as still allowing the vessel to still "look" like a Starfleet ship to the viewer, are the parameters of this "project" in design.
