With the K'tinga revamp done, doing the V-11 seemed the next natural step: home.comcast.net/~ststcsolda/romulans/V-11/V-11.htmlWhen it came to doing the ventral aspect, I discovered that the guy at Tyken's Rift had done my homework for me! tykensrift.blogspot.com/2010/08/fresh-out-of-drydock-romulan-v11.htmlI liked his ventral decal pattern very much, and because he originally sourced my V-11 dorsal, port, and bow graphics when he did the mini model in 2010, I decided it was reasonable to ensure that my ventral graphics matched his. As with the K'tinga, there is a certain amount of puttying over problems, but overall, I am satisfied. The actual D7 shown in "Balance of Terror" doesn't necessarily look like this. But it's more or less true to the elegance of the FASA version.

That is a great remake of the V-11. I even like how the "bird" theme on the lower hull even implies a subtle "beak".
Great job!

i think you mean the D-7's in "The Enterprise Incident " the romulan ship in " Balance Of Terror " is the original romulan bird of prey the ..... V-8 cruiser in fasa books

What about the Roumlan D-7 in the remastered TOS episode, I forgot the name of it tho.
Could you do that variation up? or someone?

Well, they reflect the Romulan influence on the design. I have a V-11 in my horde.

Good page there and i've always enjoyed the hull plating? Armor? that give it that Feathered look I think all the lines and grids on the hulls of these ships are usually associated with their shield systems. Also (obviously, but not all) Romulan and Klingon vessels have cloaking devices, so maybe these have a grid too...
