... and looking at the pics of the new L-13 Fatman from Studio Bergstrom, he should be in fine voice... Measuring nearly 4" (97mm) in length, the L-13 is no minnow. Still, she's not supposed to be, right? I'm very happy with how the beast has turned out. Thank heavens for 'Drew Bergstrom's infinite wisdom and talent at taking my amateurish sculpting and turning it into a proper model. Go add a whale to your Klingon fleet today! hm. The 2 warp nacelles and the impulse engine might look good mounted on a D10 frame.

I just ordered this one along with the Saber and D-18 in 1/3125.
I might be the first one to post a painted version

Ok, the "Fat Man" has arrived, and it is with straining, ponderous girth that he sits prominently on my desk.
This is a GREAT model. I can't express how happy I am with the purchase, I'll have to look at more ships from this store!
The model is in 6 pieces, bridge/neck, hull, impulse deck, 2 warp engines and the modular portion for the lower aft.
It's in a light bluish grey, pieces fit together well (even without glue at this point). Some small bubbles in the plastic hull, but theses are *really* tiny, will disappear with the first primer application.
I didn't realize how cool the model was until I set it up next to my MicroMachine's D-7, I have 2 of them so there's already a neat TOS flotilla built. It just screams TOS, but as you know the later models are a fairly competent as heavy Klingon frigates. On the original FASA Hex map, it's imposing having the same base size as a planet (he probably ate a few of them on the way over.).
I'll post some pictures when I get it painted up. If you are even remotely tempted by this ship I suggest you get it. It's the one thing I wanted but didn't need but I can't say enough about the quality. It's a better mold than some of the Oddysey slipways resin kits.
Don't forget the Fat Man. He's not fat, he's big boned...or it could be the pack of twizzlers in his back pocket.
Nice work and thanks for prompt shipping! I'll review the other purchases in the appropriate thread.
