Whoa Nelly! A Battlebarge! Friends and neighbors, I think we've got a brand-spanking new class of starships here! When I first locked eyes on this, I thought this was a new type of transport or freighter. But this is a whole lot better. Much better! Congratulations, Atolm! You did it again!

1 looks Andorian inspired and the other looks like a possible Cylon Battlestar

I am running out of superlatives to describe your fantastic artwork, Atolm! Stunning!

We're gonna have to start building stats for these...
I would actually assume that many of these would be "transitional" designs between the classic D-7 and the K'tinga type. Possibly from two or three different design "houses" (sort of like, MIG, Yakovlev, Ilusyin etc...).

I'd like to see Atolm's take on the class D-7 itself. So far, these look reasonably close to Matt's basic concepts and the Strike Cruiser really looks a bit like:

pickimg up a hint of republic cruiser (star wars episode one opening) in the nose here. But way more cooler with klingon aesthetics

Very cool. Do the nacelles track and have a variable position along that roll bar?

Thanks everyone! Very cool. Do the nacelles track and have a variable position along that roll bar? If you need them to do so personally, then they do ...but in general I did not design them as such.

Very cool. Do the nacelles track and have a variable position along that roll bar? What benefit would this offer and how could the engines connect to the warp core if they moved along the length of the hull?

The variable geometry could affect dramatic changes to warp and impulse configurations. much like the NCC 1701-D could reconfigure it's warp field (albeit situationally) this class of ship facillitates practical applications of warp fields to affect changes in gravity and subspace.
The nacelles stay connected to the warp/anti-matter power conduits via a series of sophisticated magnetic resonance check valves, in this way the flow regulators are positioned beneath each nacelle allowing additional fine tuning of post intermix chamber power levels.
Because of this, the klingon ship is capable of maintaining stable asymmetrical warp fields. Applications include:
Changing the gravitational pull of astral bodies such as small planetoids and comets interfereing with the warp fields of distant ships traveling at warp (interdiction) assisting disabled ships by extending warp envelopes around them.
Highly advance for its time, this class of klingon ship was widely respected thanks to its innovative warp engine design.

And I'm certain in my gut that the other Major Galactic Powers would try to copy this for their navies once they've heard of this.

they'll just hire atolm to design starships for them. Its a win-win.

That is so beautiful, man! I could see this operating near both Romulan and Orion space for certain. Maybe a variant of this could be a potential replacement for either the Baka Re' or Trader's Game freighters down the road. It looks less cumbersome than the other two freighter classes.
