Very cool! Thanks! Out of curiosity, when you commision art with Sean, who owns the rights to the pic? (you or him?) Regardless, I like what he did with fleshing out Atolm's great designs. I'm hoping that this guy is next in line for the full ortho treatment!

Well technically, I own the rights to my drawings (the designs), Sean owns the rights to his. A commission does not mean you "own" the intellectual property. That's like you asking someone to draw you a spiderman pic. the image is yours, but the rights belong to the artist, and then marvel comics (unless the artist is employed by marvel, then it opens a whole other can of worms...lol).

This is a fantastic idea, your designs are amazing as is your ability to render them. The ortho views add a new level to them. Can't wait to see more.

I was asking was because of the use of the term commision implies payment and a possible work for hire agreement. I just didn't know who to ask if I wanted to make a ship sheet at some point using the ortho for FASASTSTCS. Regardless, Artbraune agrees so I'll have to ask you and Sean when I kick my butt into gear again.

Hey SITZ - I was just about to get started on stats for artbraune's awesome line drawings when I saw you asking exactly what I was gonna ask - how to credit. Have you started on any of them yet? Love to coordinate if you have or haven't!
In the past, I've always credited Atolm as Atolm... So I'm thinking something like:
Design by..., Artwork by..., Orthographics by...
I don't know - what do ya think? After stepping on Aridas Sofia's toes - I definitely want to make sure we credit folks correctly.

Excellent! Another great fleshing out on Atolm's concept designs. Can you give us a hint which ship to expect for the final one on his to-do-list? *fingers crossed that it's the D7*

Indeed, very nice! I was wondering what the final two were going to be as there were so many ships to choose from. Thanks to Atolm for coming up with them, artbraune for commisioning them, and Sean for fleshing them out.

Every once in a while I check out deviantart to see what is new on some of my favorite trek artists and I was very pleasantly surprised to see artbraune commisioned another of Atolm's ships with Sean Tourangeau, the command cruiser. Very nicely done! While I'm partial to the redone D-7 as my favorite, this on is definitely up there in my top 3 personally.
Thanks again to the trio named above (Art, Sean, Atolm) for making this happen!

Wow thats big Yeah it is...too big imo, but that is about how large the actual Sarcophagus Ship is in Disco...all the ships in Disco are much larger than any of the ships when compared to the Prime ones. I think people have just gotten "Scale Crazy"(!) in the industry. Not necessarily the conceptual artists, but definitely the powers that be.
