Wasnt the V-11 just a copy/paste in original fasa with the k'tinga/d-7?

Wasnt the V-11 just a copy/paste in original fasa with the k'tinga/d-7? To be fair to whoever did the original FASA schematics, not only were the nacelles different, the deflector grid had a pattern which looked like giant feathers, so it tied to the FASA Romulan bird motif! There were actually two different minis released to represent the D-7, the original fine detailed FASA miniature, with separate nacelles and command pod, and the one piece version released in the UK by Citadel, which has thicker nacelles. Have a look at my mini pics thread to see that mini, which I have in Klingon and Romulan colours... ststcsolda.proboards.com/thread/106/trynda1701s-ststcs-minis-cheat?page=2...third post down on page 2 as linked to above. If you could get one of the Citadel minis, you could try and cut a tiny bit of the front of the nacelles to give them a sloped front, and the thickness sort of simulates the V-11 schematic nacelles. The deflector grid pattern is still the same as the K'tinga, but compared to a FASA D-7, you would have slightly different looking vessels. Just note, I didn't do this, coz I'm a klutz! Mark

I'd like to see the old FASA TMP Enterprise mini scaled up.
The saucer looked wider and thinner than it should--and the secondary hull had a very deep chest--as it it were really a larger ship.
Love to see Shaw or someone blueprint it.
the TOS enterprise mini was the Franz Joseph version.

I don't think they made a mini for it, but I remember seeing a D-7 repainted like a stormbird on the FASA miniature's sales pamphlet.
Ah here it is, courtesy of www.tacticalstarshipcombat.com :
Does anyone else love how that winged defender is painted up?
