Why? Why, why, WHY?
Just... freaking WHY? Cover those ugly striped socks with TREK BOOTS! And iron that Uniform! And while you're at it shave...anywhere. This is what happens when you spend all your free time in the holodeck.

Well, per the MOD, this is not supposed to be thread where we post pictures of girls, so I try to keep things balanced. So far in this thread I have posted 19 pictures featuring girls, 34 with non-girls (guys, cartoons, a dog, zoidberg, etc..), and two pictures featuring a guy and a gal. Unfortunately, there are a LOT more ladies than dudes cosplaying Star Trek, so to keep the balance I sometimes have to post stuff like this (it's a both):
I believe they are cosplaying as the crew of the Reliant - marooned on Ceti Alpha V.

I like how the Irish audience understood the simplistic and moral story lines of TOS. They understood the production was trying to deliver a message.
The also hit on the problems of Discovery. How it was nothing but an attempt to produce an action series. That there was really no real distinction between the good guys and the bad guys: case in point. planting the bombs on the corps of the klingon. They also pointed out the continuity issues with Discovery.
Good call my Irish friends!!!!!

Yep - a LOT of people that have never watched Star Trek before, have started watching the original and like it far better than the new ... crap.
There IS some action but, you can tell who's the good guy and who's the "baddie". Our heroes aren't perfect but, they are willing to try to do better - rather than stoop down to the level of the villains in the story. There is a moral message in most episodes but, they DON'T beat you over the head with it (usually).
And no - the sets are not made of cardboard...

And with a little luck, it'll mix well with Scotch Whiskey.

My bicycle helmet: It was made by a bicycle company called "Specialized". My co-workers like to obscure the "IZ" with sharpie so it spells "Special Ed"...

This amused me... and it's a pretty good trailer.
He tasks me! He tasks me, and I shall have him! I’ll chase him round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round Perdition’s flames before I give him up!

I figure this guy went on to work for Star Wars or Star Trek later in life.
The original content of this post was deleted. For the life of me I cannot remember exactly why, or even by whom.
